What Teachers Make

Posted on June 8th, 2007 in General Squish | No Comments »

I saw this video the other day, and enjoyed it a great deal. Teachers, public school, and the institution of education seem to take a real beating these days; especially from those who do their best to make no difference at all. Anyway, share and enjoy.

Gracie and her Attendance AwardJoey and his academic awardsI’m so proud! The kids’ school (Round Valley Elementary) just had their annual awards ceremony, and both of our kids were honored. Gracie was awarded a “Wonderful Reader” award, as well as an “Excellent Attendance” award. Joey came home with a “Golden Reader” award (for excellence in reading level), Honor Roll for the three or more quarters, and finally, the “Principal’s Award” which is given to the student with the hight Grade Point Average (GPA) in their grade. Joey tied with Tenaya Morelock for the highest GPA in the 4th grade, and being the gentleman he is, let her have the trophy. He’ll be getting one, too, at the end of the week.

Karen and I are so blessed to have such bright kids! Click on the photo to see the gallery of pics from the awards ceremony.
